One of the least expensive and most effective improvements you can make to your home is to give it a fresh coat of neutral, light colored paint. Bold or dark colors can be great for decorating but, when selling a house, light and neutral colors help make rooms look bigger and gives Buyers a blank canvas to imagine themselves in. A fresh coat of paint is also helpful to erase the normal wear-and-tear that comes from living in a home.
One of the first things that we noticed at this property was discolorations along the wall surfaces throughout the home. The previous owner wasn't even sure how these discolorations got there! We knew that before the home was ready to sell, these small blemishes would need to be corrected, so we hired a professional painter to come and touch up each wall of the house. The result: beautiful and uniform paint surfaces throughout the entire home.
This rental home had previous tenants who painted the walls in very bold, and in this case, dark colors. To ensure that the property was going to appeal to the broadest market, we talked to the owner about repainting the walls a more neutral color that brightened the room and illuminated its true size.
Another example of how not only the paint color, but also the quality of paint work suffered as a result of a previous tenant. A new paint job has this place looking good as new.
